Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades collection is a range of uniquely “foldable” and travel-ready furniture and accessories. According to the brand’s website, this collection pays tribute to past commissioned items such as the Bed Trunk and Wardrobe Trunk. The theme of a travel-ready lifestyle is given a more contemporary touch with this collection.

Among these coveted items is a new design by Marcel Wanders; a Lounge Chair which Wanders calls “an unfolding and portable oasis for relaxation. The three individual modules fit into each other like a puzzle, yet when laid out create three distinct solutions – a chaise longue, armchair or pouffe.”
The three sections of the chair can be placed one inside the other for travelling or be strapped together to make a stylish seat. The chair is available in tan and turquoise leather with the latter being inspired by the architecture of Miami.
The Objets Nomades collection which was first presented at Design Miami in 2012, now consists of 17 items created from premium materials, featuring innovating design concepts. An exhibition of the Objets Nomades collection will take place in the Louis Vuitton Miami Design District store from December 3rd 2015 to February 10th 2016. The items will also be available for purchase beginning from December 3.

Louis Vuitton: #LVSeries3 Exhibition Singapore 2015

Louis Vuitton

Singapore will feature as the only Asian stop of Louis Vuitton’s #LVSeries3 exhibition, which was first launched in London earlier this year. The third in a series (#LVSeries1 and #LVSeries2 have been shown in cities like Los Angeles, Rome, Seoul and Tokyo, just to name a few), Singapore would also be the first South-East Asian country to have the honour of hosting such an exhibition of this scale.

So what exactly is #LVSeries3 about, you ask? Well, it promises to be an immersive fashion expedition into the world of Louis Vuitton, more specifically, a curated exhibition of its past, present and future. To be held at Marina Bay Sands’ Crystal Pavilion South (that’s where Avalon was, by the way), Louis Vuitton will totally remake the interior and present 11 different rooms, each presenting a facet of French luxury house, from its savoir faire in the art of trunk making to Nicholas Ghesquière’s latest F/W15 RTW collection, presented in a way that let’s you feel as if you’re sitting front row and enjoying the runway show all over again.

Another highlight includes a whole wall of stickers you can actually bring home featuring bags, shoes and accessories from the F/W15 collection, as well as specially commissioned posters that are collectors’ pieces in themselves.

Opening on 28 November 2015 (Saturday) at 11 am, you can skip the queue too, provided you book your tickets online in advance. Choose from between entrance-only tickets or a tour provided LV ambassadors that will run approximately 20 minutes, both options are free too, by the way.

Running all the way till 23 December 2015, do check out this link for more information regarding the exhibition, here’s one thing that I think is important to note. Do remember that the exhibition will be held at the South Crystal Pavilion and not where Louis Vuitton floating Maison flagship is, which is also known as the North Crystal Pavilion because it will save you quick a bit of walking from one location to another.

The new-fangled app will also offer instant updates on hotels, restaurants, bars, cafés, tea rooms, stores, spas, antique shops, designers, museums, galleries. Of course, headings are the same as in the original books, so the traveller can find the essence of the City Guides in this touch-screenversion, with a special place for personal experience, snapshots of city life, detailed descriptions of places to go and a genuinely personalized approach to each city using interactive links and localisation.

It’s only fitting that the French luxury goods company crafts an accompaniment; and hence Louis Vuitton has produced a small leather case with the Monogram pattern, designed to protect your iPad and iPhone. Inspired by colours of the city collection, the new cases are available for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus; blue for Paris, yellow for Rome, red for Beijing and pink for Tokyo.

The Louis Vuitton City Guide has fashioned an extraordinary limited edition box set. A beautiful lacquered wood case entails a collection of 15 world cities featured this year. Exclusively available at Louis Vuitton stores of course.

It’s here! The Louis Vuitton Evasion Accessory Collection is out to give us some wonderful smiles, and why not? It’s all about the small leather goods, the cute and adorable wallets and purses we should watch out for. Especially that the holidays are nearing, these babies will be perfect as gifts for friends and loved ones. Nothing says ‘Merry Christmas!’ more like a designer purse (keep the Christmas list rolling!).

These wallets and purses come in the original Monogram, Damier Ebene and Damier Azur canvas – truly chic house patterns that never go out of style. They are heavily inspired by a historical advertisement from 1921, which pays tribute to the luxury house’s travel heritage (that explains the cute print against the house canvas pattern). These pieces bring together something that’s truly original, paired with vast possibilities because of its functionality and features. If you’re in it for something practical, then you will love these pieces. What to choose, though? We’ll leave that problem in your hands.

Price ranges from $365 – 905 USD or €245 – 615 EUR a piece. You can get your very own Evasion Accessory from Louis Vuitton online boutique.
