From Elie Saab to Louis Vuitton to Chloe, these styles are the ultimate in cool. And while everyone may not be able to afford thousands of dollars for a leather jacket, there are plenty of options for the woman on a budget. LENA DUNHAM JOINS THE GROWING LIST OF CELEBRITIES WHO HATE THE MET GALA

Fashion

As fun and fancy as the annual Met Gala seems from the outside looking in, ample evidence from celebrity guests is piling up to suggest otherwise. Following less-than-subtle shade from the likes of Schumer and Dakota Johnson (who adorably and diplomatically discussed her Met Gala experience over shots of tequila Lena Dunham is the latest star to admit that she had a really shitty time at the exclusive party. Considering her date was Jenna Lyons — with whom she wore a matching tuxedo and thick-rimmed glasses along with her "Girls" and Lenny Letter partner, Jenni Konner — this is a bold, if not surprising, statement.

In an interview with Schumer in Friday's edition of the women recall their experience "sitting across from each other at the Met Ball," which Dunham described as "a crazy countdown to when we could escape." While Schumer previously told Howard Stern that being there felt like a  and she left as early as possible, Dunham was a bit more specific about which scenario turned her off — and it involved a particularly stylish football player.

Sure, like at any industry event, Dunham was in the company of supermodels, Hollywood A-listers and the most elite of fashion people, many of whom were dressed in slinky, cut-out dresses — but that's what made her crew of ladies in tuxes all the more charming. It's unfortunate that the Met Gala, which has raised millions of dollars for the Costume Institute over the years, is starting to lose its luster as the be-all and end-all of fashion parties; instead, it seems like a breeding ground for drama (Solange and Jay Z, Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston). Perhaps it's based on the luck of the seating chart draw, or the guests are just hangry, but we're thinking Anna Wintour's invite list will be a lot easier to narrow down next year if this trend continues.

In her interview, Britney talks about going out on bad dates. She reveals to writer Louise Gannon, “[My date and I] went to the movies, but I could tell right away it wasn’t working. It was sort of awkward. So after the movie I came home and that was it. It just didn’t work […] He just wasn’t that into me. I liked him. He knew that. But he definitely didn’t feel the same. It happens to everybody. Being famous doesn’t make you any different.”

The tale centres around a motley bunch of high-energy characters, both actors and a puppet, as they set out on a fun-filled quest to find the Snark. The show is packed with catchy, witty, upbeat songs by award-winning composer  Gareth Cooper – plenty of ‘tunes to tap your toes to’.  Produced by RGM Productions, THE HUNTING OF THE SNARK has received rave reviews from its highly successful season at Cardiff’s Sherman Theatre and Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

At its heart, THE HUNTING OF THE SNARK is a touching father-and-son story about a journey of discovery and reconciliation. A young boy, teaches his father about life’s true riches: love, family and friendship. Some believe that the poem is a satire on capitalism and the quest for wealth, while others may conclude it to be an allegory on the search for happiness. Let us know what you think after the show!
